New for winter 2026-2027 in Les Carroz: lifts, luge, ski passes

A few weeks before opening, Les Carroz has unveiled its plan for the 2026-2027 winter under the motto "Innover pour durer" (innovate to last): refurbished second-hand lifts, family-friendly pricing and new activities that also run in summer. Here is what changes, and what it means for your stay.

Refurbished lifts to save raw materials

The resort has made a clear choice: reuse rather than build new. The Gron chairlift is replaced by a refurbished six-seat detachable chair that came from a Pyrenean resort. The resort reports a 30% budget saving and 80 to 90% less new raw material. The same logic applies to the rope tow serving the snowpark and the Oasis "Cool Zone", bought from the Valloire resort.

A free beginner zone at 1,500 m

The covered carpet at Les Molliets moves up to 1,500 m to create a fully free beginner zone with more reliable snow than in the village. Good news for children's first turns, a few minutes from the Lodge.

Pricing: local pass and small budgets

• Proximity pass at 39 €: aimed at regional visitors, Monday to Friday outside school holidays, on the Les Carroz sector.
• Mini-8 scheme: free day pass for children under 8, and 2 to 7-day passes capped at 29 € for that age group, under 5 € a day over a week.
• School groups: price frozen at 17 € a day for the third season in a row.

New activities, winter and summer

• 1,125 m twin-cable zipline, built along an existing clearing without felling trees and usable on skis in winter.
• "Les Yeux de la Forêt" themed luge run: a 600 m descent with lighting and holograms.
• Aquacîme: a salt cave joins the wellness centre, ideal after a day on the slopes.

Dates for your diary

December 2026: festive season and Christmas market (see Christmas skiing in Les Carroz). 22 March to 3 April 2027: first Altipadel Spring Edition, with skiing in the morning on the Grand Massif and padel coaching in the afternoon. 27 and 28 March 2027: the Electrosnow festival returns.

What it means for your stay

At the Lodge, the heated ski locker on the ground floor and the south-facing terrace with optional nordic bath extend the day, 3 minutes' walk from the cable car. Holiday weeks go early, so it is worth fixing your dates now, especially as apartments with a terrace are the first to be booked. Arriving by train? The Léman Express to Cluses and the Les Carroz Flaine Express shuttle bring you to the resort without a car, and Geneva airport is about 45 minutes away.
